Terms and conditions
[LIKE THIS] need real details before this page goes public.
Terms of sale carry real liability; do not publish these without review.
These terms cover the use of this site and the quote requests submitted through it. By using the site you accept them.
Who you are dealing with
This site is operated by [REGISTERED LEGAL NAME — e.g. 1234567 Ontario Inc. operating as Glazing Hardware], at [REGISTERED BUSINESS ADDRESS, Ontario, Canada], reachable at info@glazing-hardware.com and +1 647 457 5551.
Trade only
We supply businesses, not consumers. By submitting a quote request you confirm you are buying in the course of a business. We may decline any request, and we may close a trade account, without giving a reason.
This site does not sell anything
This is the part that differs from most online stores, so it is worth being exact about.
- The catalogue shows no prices. "Price on request" means exactly that.
- Submitting a quote request is not an order, and it does not create a contract. It is a request for us to price a list of parts.
- No payment is taken. A quote request carries a total of zero. If a checkout step ever asks you for payment details, something has gone wrong — stop, and call us.
- A contract is formed only when we accept your order in writing after quoting it, and you accept that quote.
Quotes
- A quote is valid for [NUMBER] days from the date we issue it, unless it says otherwise.
- Quoted prices exclude HST and delivery unless stated.
- Quotes are based on the parts and quantities you listed. Change the list and the price changes.
- We may withdraw or correct a quote containing an obvious error, including a pricing or specification mistake, before you accept it.
Product information
We take care with codes, dimensions, finishes and specification sheets, but:
- Photographs are illustrative. Finishes in particular vary between screens and between production batches.
- Specification sheets are supplied by manufacturers. We pass them on in good faith and do not rewrite them.
- You are responsible for confirming a part suits your application. Glazing hardware is load-bearing and safety-relevant. If you are unsure, ask us before ordering, and involve your engineer where the installation calls for one.
- We may correct errors in the catalogue at any time.
Availability
Nothing in this catalogue should be read as a promise that an item is in stock or available in a given timeframe. Lead times are confirmed with your quote.
Delivery
Delivery is quoted by hand with your prices. Any delivery date we give is an estimate and not a guarantee, and we are not liable for delays outside our reasonable control. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
Payment
Payment terms are set out on the quote or invoice. Title to the goods remains with us until they are paid for in full.
Returns
Because we supply trade, returns are not automatic:
- Tell us within [NUMBER] days of delivery if goods are damaged, short, or not what was ordered, and we will put it right.
- Stock items in original condition and packaging may be returned within [NUMBER] days, subject to a restocking charge of [PERCENTAGE].
- Items cut, made or ordered to your specification cannot be returned.
Our liability
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Subject to that, our total liability arising from any order is limited to the amount you paid for the goods in question, and we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of contract, site delay costs or other indirect or consequential loss.
This is a trade supply relationship, not a construction contract. We supply parts; we do not design, install or certify anything.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has it. You are responsible for what is done through your account.
Using this site
Do not scrape it, attempt to break it, or use it to store or transmit anything unlawful. Site content, photography and catalogue data belong to us or our suppliers.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of Ontario have jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when we accepted it.
