What we collect, and when

When you submit a quote request

• Your name and company.
• Your email address and phone number.
• The delivery address you give us.
• The parts and quantities on your list.

We need these to price the job and get back to you. Without them there is no way to answer a quote.

No payment information is collected. The catalogue carries no prices and a quote request is a zero-value order, so no card details are requested or stored at any point.

When you open a trade account

• Your name, email and any company details you provide.
• A password, which is handled by Shopify and never visible to us.

When you simply browse

Shopify records standard visit information — pages viewed, approximate location from your IP address, and the browser you used. See the cookies page for the detail.

Why we have it

• To answer your quote request and supply the goods.
• To keep records a business is required to keep.
• To contact you about an order you placed.

We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing you did not ask for.

Who else sees it

Shopify. The store runs on Shopify, so Shopify processes everything above on our behalf as our service provider. Shopify Inc. is headquartered in Canada, but its infrastructure is global and your information may be stored or processed outside Canada — including in the United States — where it can be subject to the laws of those countries and accessible to their authorities. PIPEDA requires us to tell you this; using this site means your information may cross the border.

Connected apps, including an AI assistant. Two Shopify-published apps are connected to this store and can read customer and order information. One of them is an AI assistant used to build and maintain the catalogue and the site. It holds permission to read orders and to read and modify customer records. A person directs everything it does; it is not used to profile, score or market to you, and information from this store is not used to train AI models. This is set out in full on the How we use AI page. If you would rather your details were not held in a system with that connection, tell us and we will take your enquiry by phone instead.

Carriers. If goods are shipped, the carrier receives the delivery address and contact details needed to deliver.

Nobody else. No advertisers, no data brokers, no marketing platforms, no third-party apps.

How long we keep it

• Quote requests and orders: kept for [NUMBER] years, to meet tax and business record requirements.
• Trade accounts: kept while the account is open. Ask us to close it and we delete what we are not required to keep.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA you can:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you.
• Ask for a copy of it.
• Ask us to correct anything wrong.
• Ask us to delete it, where we are not legally required to keep it.
• Withdraw consent, understanding that we may then be unable to supply you.

We will respond within 30 days.
