Cookies and browser storage

Short version: this site uses what it needs to work, plus Shopify's own analytics. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and no third-party marketing pixels.

Who sets cookies here

This store runs on Shopify. Shopify sets cookies on its own behalf as the platform operator, and we do not control the full list. The categories are:

Strictly necessary

• Your quote request. Shopify keeps track of what you have added so the list survives moving between pages. Without this the site cannot do the one thing you asked it to.
• Your session. If you sign in to a trade account, a cookie keeps you signed in between pages.
• Security and abuse prevention. Shopify uses cookies to detect fraudulent and automated traffic.

These do not require consent, because the site cannot function without them.

Shopify's analytics

Shopify sets its own analytics cookies — typically named _shopify_y, _shopify_s and similar — which let the store owner see visit counts and which pages were viewed. This is part of the platform and is on by default.

We use this only to understand which parts of the catalogue are being looked at. It is not used to build a profile of you, and it is not shared with advertisers.

What is deliberately not here

• No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
• No third-party marketing or remarketing pixels. No Meta pixel, no Google Ads tag, no TikTok pixel.
• No embedded video, maps, social widgets or chat tools.
• No fingerprinting.
• No third-party apps that collect visitor data. At the time of writing the only apps installed are Shopify's own.

Fonts are loaded from Google

The site's typefaces are served by Google Fonts. Loading them means your browser makes a request to Google, which reveals your IP address and what browser you are using to Google. No cookie is set by that request, and we receive nothing from it.

If the site cannot reach Google Fonts — on a locked-down site network, for example — the page falls back to fonts already on your device and everything still works.

Controlling cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary ones will stop the quote list and sign-in from working. Blocking analytics cookies will not affect anything you can see.

Changes

If we ever add something that genuinely requires consent — an advertising tracker, an analytics tool beyond Shopify's own — we will ask you properly first, and this page will be updated before it is switched on.
